[Vorstand] In mourning over Solomon's death

Dear Phiri family,
It was with great dismay and sadness that we heard of Solomon's death 
this morning.
We are still stunned, as only a month ago we had an intensive video 
conference on questions concerning the future of the intercultural 
exchange between the ewe and the diocese of Monze.
Moreover, in the 20 years of our bond beyond the ewe, a friendship has 
developed between us, that has inspired and motivated me greatly.
The intensive meetings both in Zambia, officially, as well as in your 
family and also with us in Germany and in our house have strengthened 
this bond.
The ewe has lost a great, inspiring and committed person and partner.
We are losing a true friend. We are grateful that this friendship was 
possible.
We are all the more united with you in mourning and will think of you 
especially in these days and pray for him and for you.
Two days ago, when he was in hospital, we lit an Easter candle for him 
to keep his memory alive and to accompany our prayers. We will keep it 
burning until his funeral.
