It was with great dismay and sadness that we heard of
Solomon's death <br>
this morning.<br>
We are still stunned, as only a month ago we had an intensive

conference on questions concerning the future of the
intercultural <br>
exchange between the ewe and the diocese of Monze.<br>
Moreover, in the 20 years of our bond beyond the ewe, a
friendship has <br>
developed between us, that has inspired and motivated me
greatly.<br>
The intensive meetings both in Zambia, officially, as well as
in your <br>
family and also with us in Germany and in our house have
strengthened <br>
this bond.<br>
The ewe has lost a great, inspiring and committed person and
partner.<br>
We are losing a true friend. We are grateful that this
friendship was <br>
possible.<br>
We are all the more united with you in mourning and will think
of you <br>
especially in these days and pray for him and for you.<br>
Two days ago, when he was in hospital, we lit an Easter candle
for him <br>
to keep his memory alive and to accompany our prayers. We will
keep it <br>
burning until his funeral.<br>
